Who’s come a knocking this time?
Is it Lucie, Leon’s tiresome daughter, who wants help with her divorce, Ardèle, his wife who is ready to send him mad, Josephine, his mistress, who is determined to make it on the stage like Leon promised. Or is it Gaston, who cherishes their long friendship whenever he’s low on cash. One thing is certain, Leon knows full well that they want nothing but his money.
The play ‘Le Nombril’ by Jean Anouilh, shows a playwright’s never ending search for peace as his friends and family, with the most honourable of pretexts, want only his money.
